I can remember looking at all the cool stuff crammed into their ads, with the barely readable print, and salivating over the thought of being able to buy all of it. Use the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' inflation calculator to see what items cost in today's dollars. For instance, that $9.49 "McCoy .19 R/C" would be $56.03 in 2010 money.
