| Vintage Issues of American Aircraft Modeler |
A little at a time, I have been collecting vintage issues of Air Trails, American Modeler, and American Aircraft Modeler. As of May 2010, I finally procured the last few editions to complete the set of AAM, covering January 1968 through March 1975 (87 issues). Yeah, they're pretty much worthless to people who were not modelers in the era, but it is a nice trip back in time for us older guys.
I now am working on a collection of Air Trails and American Modeler magazines, which were the precursor to American Aircraft Modeler. The two lists are now on separate pages.
If you need an article from one of these issues, send me an e-mail and I'll scan it and send it to you.
If you want to wax nostalgic over some of the old advertisements, check out these that I have selected.
* Many thanks to Matthew H. for donating 15 editions. He discovered a box full of old American Aircraft Modeler magazine n a trailer that he bought, and took the initiative to contact me to offer to donate them (see his video documentary on fiberglass trailers). There are now only 5 missing editions!
Here are the covers of the editions of American Modeler, American Aircraft Modeler, and Model Airplanes News that I have available for scanning.
