I do not remember
that K&B had a line of ready-to-fly control line models back in the 1960s. This advertisement from the May/June
edition of American Modeler displays a K&B Fokker D.7 biplane that comes with a K&B Gold Head .060 Tornado engine.
It appears to be plastic a la the Cox control line models. The ad says K&B also had an SE-5A Scout companion to
the Fokker for use in dog fighting. Use the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics'
inflation calculator to see what items cost in
today's dollars. For instance, this $14.95 Fokker D.7 would cost $112.55 in 2012 money.
