John Tatone, San Francisco, Calif., shown with his beautifully detailed
Meyers MAC 145. His Tipsy Jr. earned a third place in CLFS event.

Two unidentified contestants prepare their Dynajet-powered model
in the C/L jet event. We sure didn't envy them in that 96° California
heat.

Two industrious young R/Cers shown making repairs to their model
at the Nats. Apparently the wind was too strong for the small ship.

" ... y'mean all of you guys want to join the Navy ... ?" Seems
like the younger set has the Navy outnumbered and bewildered at
the Nats.
