Woodworking Tips & Projects

Two clock built from Klockit plans - Airplanes and RocketsAs with building model aircraft, I have spent a lifetime working with wood for projects ranging from framing houses and renovations, to building and renovating furniture. There is very little photographic record of my earlier work, but I've collected what is available. A major missing piece is a large, all mahogany Mediterranean style credenza I built in wood shop during my senior year of at Southern Senior High School (1976) in Harwood, Maryland. It measured around 60" wide x 28" deep x 30" high, with four drawers across the top, a cavity in the middle for a TV set, and a storage area on each side, with doors covering the TV and storage areas. It was a major undertaking with raised panels on all doors and drawers. There's not a picture of it anywhere to be found.

Kirt Blattenberger, Webmaster - Airplanes and RocketsKirt Blattenberger

Even during the busiest times of my life I have endeavored to maintain some form of model building activity. This website has been created to help me chronicle my journey through a lifelong involvement in model aviation, which all began in Mayo, Maryland...
